About Exploration Age

Exploration Age was designed by the team at Kinetic Theory to demonstrate and extend best practices using the latest Web tools and paradigms. For the tech heads out there, Exploration Age is implemented with Ruby on Rails, and uses client-side Javascript extensively to enhance user interaction. Our primary goal is to be a fun and friendly tool for our users to enjoy. Along the way, we hope to help people learn more about the world, whether its the city just over the horizon or halfway around the world.
